Blogging Gone Bad

Okay, so this ain't right. Yes, it's a blog on the Lincoln Fry, as seen in the Super Bowl ads.

That's right. It's a blog. "Oh, I've never blogged before, but we found this fry. We're putting it up for auction! Here's some 'bad' phone photos. By the way, we're not going to mention the $2 million dollar commercial that's airing in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS during the Super Bowl because, tee-hee, this is a real blog and we're real people." Yeah, right.

Oh geez, how did I miss this part?
Liz and I are amazed at the traffic this blog has gotten. But I'm getting overwhelmed by the volume of comments coming in. I'm afraid I just don't have the time to police this blog all day and night. As it is, my email inbox is constantly filling up. So I had to close this blog to any additional comments.

How stupid do they think we are? Really?

Of course, the auction is probably worse. Presently at $101,300.00 for the prop fry.

This auction is for one “Lincoln Fry” prop. Prop was created for DDB Chicago’s production of McDonald’s “Lincoln Fry” television and internet advertisements. This Lincoln Fry prop is crafted from polyurethane and stands approximately 4 inches tall. It forms a base at one end and a partial bust of President Abraham Lincoln at the other. “Lincoln Fry” is not edible.
